NXNE 09 submissions are open until January 31, 2009. Submit by December 31/08 and pay only $25—after December 31, the cost goes up to $35.

Here’s the NXNE guarantee on all festival submissions: we PROMISE that your music will get a fair and full hearing from our programming team–regardless of who you are, where you’re from, or what you play.

Performers selected to appear at NXNE will have their artist information and web site links featured at www.nxne.com (the site has received over 4.5 million hits in 2008). Please make sure your electronic press kit (EPK) is complete and up-to-date; we can’t accept EPKs that do not have audio clips, bios or photos.

All performers who apply to NXNE can get discounts on full delegate passes for each performing member (sorry—managers, agents, crew and assorted hangers-on not included). Performers appearing at NXNE will be given one pass per performer + 2 extra wristbands per band.

In addition, Canadian artists showcasing at NXNE are eligible for:

• $10,000 via the Rogers Fan Choice Award (NXNE 08 winners: The Midway State)
• $2,000 via the Galaxie Rising Star Award(NXNE 08 winners: Major Maker)
• an opportunity to be included in the NXNE Top 60 Tip Sheet – a list of NXNE showcasing artists sent to a database of close to 300 national radio programmers and music directors.
