NXNE is a raging annual 10-day summer festival and conference every June in Toronto, featuring: music, gaming, comedy, interactive and more at this packed cultural explosion. The U.K. Guardian says "NXNE has crowned itself Toronto's leading music event." NXNE celebrates its 24th year in 2018 and takes over Toronto with showcases, panels, parties, installations, and more. NXNE includes a major free, three-day music festival in the centre of the city at Canada's biggest street corner, Yonge and Dundas.  NXNE also features comedy, food, art installations and more. NXNE Game Land kicks off NXNE and features will one of Canada's largest eSports competitions live and on-line. We take over Toronto's best live music clubs to present our must-see Club LandCurator Series. Top Canadian artists present their favourite emerging bands. Admission to all with one low price wristband. Bars and clubs across the city stay open extended hours, till 4 am during NXNE. We are partners with our friends in Austin, Texas at SXSW. NXNE was founded in 1995.

When is NXNE 2018?

NXNE 2018 is June 8 -17.

WHERE IS IT?

NXNE takes place across the city of Toronto, one of the greatest cities in the world. The epi-centre of the festival is Yonge Dundas Square in the heart of the city, some call it the 6's Times Square. We also program in Toronto's top live music venues as well as non-traditonal music spaces. NXNE has featured bands: at the airport, in parks, on streetcars, a ferry boat and much more.

Who's playing?

The best up and coming bands in Canada and the world as well as top established acts. Last year we featured dozens of great acts including: Passion Pit, Kaytranada, Post Malone, Bleachers, Sleigh Bells, The Soul Rebels featuring Talib Kweli, Twin Peaks, Cold Specks, Muna, Son Little and many more. NXNE's Club Land festival will feature the best up-and-coming bands as curated by some of Canada's best musicians. In previous years we have presented: Iggy and the Stooges, The Flaming Lips, Run the Jewels, The Weeknd, St. Vincent, Billy Talent, GZA, Best Coast, Feist, Broken Social Scene, The Tragically Hip and many more.

NXNE regularly programs comedy, from up-and-coming acts --remember, Canada is the comedy capital of the world -- as well as established comedians. NXNE will present great free live comedy as part of its Festival Village on Yonge Street.

Should I email (insert name & email of person on the NXNE contact list) to ask them to book my band? NXNE takes a very limited number of unsolicited bands, if you think yours should be one of those, send your particulars to info@nxne.com.

You bet but it's a little soon for 2018. Watch this space and we'll let you know when we are looking for volunteers. And did we mention?
