Orchidae
Orchidae is the project of Gatineau-based Canadian Taiwanese artist Yolande Laroche. Her debut album, True Beginning, released April 4, 2025 (Birthday Cake Records), marks her first step as a lead songwriter after a decade as a core member of the art-rock band Pony Girl (Paper Bag Records).
With a background in clarinet, she blends classical training with avant-pop elements, moving seamlessly from confident electronic pop to heartfelt piano ballads. Exploring themes of self-discovery, transformation, and personal growth, Orchidae presents Yolande Laroche in full bloom.
