Ṣẹwà
Nigerian-born, Toronto-based artist Ṣẹwà is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer whose genre-blending sound draws from Afrobeat, Fuji, jazz, R&B, soul, blues, and pop. A fan once described her music as “the after-scent of rain,” reflecting its emotional depth and subtle intensity.
She sold out her debut concert in Lagos in 2021 before relocating to Toronto, where she has since headlined multiple sold-out shows, including A Night with Ṣẹwà at Burdock (2024) and Lula Lounge (2025). Backed by her 14-piece band, Ṣẹwà and The Natives, she delivers powerful performances that bridge African and Western musical traditions.
