Lila Gray

Pop

Raised in the mountains of BC, Lila Gray now calls Vancouver home. Through heartfelt lyrics and sharp songwriting, she explores young adulthood and queer womanhood in the 21st century. She began classical cello training at age five and later added singing, songwriting, and guitar to shape her voice as an artist.

After placing in the Top 100 of the 2021 CBC Searchlight Competition, Lila moved to Montreal to study audio engineering and sound production. Her third album, Scared Of The Dark (You Should Be Too), highlights her detailed lyricism and hands-on production. She has earned over 160,000 Spotify streams, supported the release with shows across Canada, and dropped music videos for “Something I Knew Was Missing” and “Haunt.”

Inspired by artists like The Beatles, James Brown, Queen, and The Kinks, alongside Arlo Parks, Lorde, Billie Eilish, Bleachers, and Feist, Lila has developed a distinct indie pop sound. She collaborates with musicians such as Jill Barber, Aza Nabuko, Michael Isaak, and Aysia Jordan, and is building her path as a producer and audio engineer for emerging artists. In 2025, she received the Olivia Quan Award for Audio Excellence.
